WA Production Fundamental Bass v2.0.0 Mac [MORiA][Intel/Apple]

Fundamental bass gets low, as a famous vocalist once sang, “It’s all about the bass”, and in most genres of music, she would be right! Balancing bass lines has always been a big problem for producers, especially in the mixing stage, as the dynamic range of low frequency material can be overwhelming. If you leave the basslines as they are, they threaten to unbalance the rest of your mix, but apply compression too generously and the lively bass sound will suck the life out of it. So what to do?

fundamental bass
That’s where the fundamental bass comes in, giving you a quick way to boost the dynamics of the low frequencies while maintaining the sharpness and brilliance of the mids and highs. Processing is achieved with an adjustable frequency split that is fed to two separate modules for processing. The low-frequency range is equipped with two compressors and image adjustment for clarity and mono compatibility. The high band compresses and adds grain, enhancing natural harmonics while maintaining bass bounce.
With many useful parameters and a wide range of presets, all you need to worry about is where to set the frequency split for maximum dance floor destruction.
Separation of low and high frequencies
The basic concept of fundamental bass is how it separates the sound into high and low modules for independent processing. This way of mixing bass ensures smooth compression of low frequencies without losing the exciting dynamics of mids and highs. The green (low) and yellow (high) color modules make it easy to see what range you’re tuning, and each has separate on/off buttons, gain sliders, and blend ratio dials.
Low modulus
The balance scale sets the level of compression with attenuation up to -60dB. Makeup enhancement is applied automatically. A flatten dial is a more aggressive compressor used to flatten out the dynamics of really punchy basslines or acoustic material with a wide dynamic range. Experiment with these two types of compression to control your bass while maintaining the groove.
High modulus
Use the balance dial for gentle compression, and the drive dial for a little (or a lot) of graininess in the sound. You get tube-style saturation at low levels and full distortion when pressed harder. Careful adjustment of this control can give bass lines a sparkling high end while keeping low frequencies clear and crisp.
High and Low Pass Filters
Get the bass line out of the way of your beat with the High Pass Filter knob – just slide your finger to define the low end of the frequency and the separation of the kick and bass will sound much clearer. You can also opt out of annoying high frequencies that may conflict with other instruments. Just use the low pass filter handle to set the limit.
Split stereo image
An old producer’s trick is to reduce the bass lines to mono. This ensures that they will match the beat more effectively and translate better to a wider range of playback systems. Fundamental bass can easily pull off this trick with independent stereo sliders for low and high modules. Set the low module to mono and the high module to stereo to keep the high end alive while also centering any wandering low frequencies.
Mixing and Balance
With independent gain controls for both the high and low modules, as well as mixing ratio controls for parallel processing, you can use the underlying bass for both subtle tweaks and powerful expressive perfectionism. The master clipper smooths out the dynamics of the outgoing sound, and the output level slider allows you to set the exact level for precise A/Bing with pop-up-free bypass control.
Visual Feedback The
real-time frequency display at the top of the interface shows exactly what is happening to the signal as it is being processed in real time. Separate green and yellow counters correspond to the high and low color modules, so you can visually track what happens with each parameter change, with precision and error-free.
Presets
With the many factory and artist settings included, it’s easy to find the perfect starting point for your own bass sound. Tailored to the specific characteristics of basses and even other instruments, these factory settings can be used to quickly cycle through parameter snapshots. Presets include everything from full range bass compression to frequency dependent conversions.
