The Red Eq provides three fixed bands at 80Hz, 1.8kHz and 8kHz, the upper and lower bands are delayed and the middle is a traditional bell response. There can be 16 dB of cut and boost, and although the EQ may look limited compared to parametric, it actually sounds very musical and the frequencies are chosen with care.
A five-section level meter and output control allow you to control the overall output level from the unit up to a maximum of +6dB. The red warning light comes on if the signal is approaching clipping due to overuse of boost on already hot signals.
